The hollow section encompasses square and rectangular cold-formed hollow steel sections, commonly known as square tubes and rectangular tubes. Depending on the manufacturing process, square tubes can be further classified into hot-rolled seamless tubes, cold-drawn seamless tubes, extruded seamless tubes, and welded square tubes.
A variety of surface treatment techniques are available, including hot-dip galvanizing, electrolytic galvanizing, oil coating, and pickling.
